Information About the Program :

The program is a 2-year associate degree program. It provides students with the opportunity to apply 3 semesters of theoretical education and 1 semester of full-time workplace education together, giving students work experience before they graduate. 

Importance and Future of the Profession:

Pharmacy services program students gain the title of "Pharmacy Services Technician" as a result of their two-year associate degree education. Pharmacy services technician; They are assistant health personnel who can work as intermediate staff in drug research-development and analysis laboratories and drug warehouses, who assist the pharmacist in presenting the ready-made drugs or medical products to the patient, in the preparation of the drugs to be prepared under the supervision of the pharmacist, in keeping the pharmacy records and in communicating with the patients.

Today, there is a need for pharmacy services technicians, who have gained their professional knowledge and equipment in a scientific environment, both in pharmacies and in the pharmaceutical industry. In this respect, our aim, as the Pharmacy Services Program of our college, is to train pharmacy services technicians who are well-versed in health terminology, pharmacy services, drug knowledge, adhere to ethical rules, attach importance to professional development, and have strong communication, and ensure that they graduate in accordance with the criteria preferred in the field.

For this purpose, within the scope of our theoretical and applied education curriculum, basic information about the basic courses of health sciences (anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, etc.), pharmacy services and drug knowledge (practical drug knowledge, pharmaceutical calculations and drug preparation, drug chemistry, etc.) Our courses are included. In addition, the summer internship, workplace training and practical courses included in our curriculum enable our students to apply the knowledge they have learned theoretically in the field. Internship and workplace training are of great importance for our students in order to enter the sector. Our graduates from this program, Biochemistry, Chemistry,
